Crop Claims Specialist – Claims Crop Field Adjuster

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assess liability by collecting and analyzing pertinent information while applying relevant procedures.

• Verify policy details and coverage by examining the applicable insurance policies and determining if losses are covered.

• Engage in reviews and referrals initiated by the Risk Management Agency to ensure operational integrity and quality assurance.

• Safeguard Zurich’s reputation by maintaining the confidentiality of claims information.

• Enhance professional and technical expertise through educational opportunities, awareness of industry trends, personal networking, and participation in professional organizations.

• For Crop Claims Specialist responsibilities, support workload management, participate in CAT teams, and provide remote assistance for CROP Claims Care Center inquiries and/or CCP Claims.

⛳️ Requirements

• Crop Claims Field Adjuster I: Must possess a High School Diploma or Equivalent and have at least 6 months of experience in the agricultural field.

• Crop Claims Specialist: Requires a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of experience in the agricultural or crop insurance sector.

• Certification in the Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) must be achieved within 180 days of the hire date.

• Must have reliable personal transportation.

• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory; Crop Claims Specialist may also need to travel outside the assigned area to assist with workloads, participate on CAT teams, and provide remote support for CROP Claims Care Center inquiries and/or CCP Claims.

• Capability to walk in agricultural fields for distances up to 3 miles.

• Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet high.

• Capacity to lift between 25 lbs and 50 lbs.

• Willingness to work outdoors in various temperature and weather conditions.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritization abilities.

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

• Must reside within 50 miles of one of the designated locations in Southern Alabama or the Florida Panhandle.
