Crisis Clinician, Telehealth – Emergency Services, Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver crisis consultation services for behavioral health and related service delivery for youth, adults, and elderly populations within a hospital environment.

• Conduct assessments, implement treatment interventions, and provide crisis counseling.

• Oversee the acute phase for clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis; assess, triage, and refer clients to suitable services.

• Establish and sustain collaborative working relationships with hospital staff and other service providers.

• Effectively utilize supervision, share relevant information, accept performance feedback, and seek guidance for challenging cases.

• Stay updated on and utilize pertinent resources, policies, procedures, as well as regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Respond to telephone inquiries as necessary and deliver timely assessments and next-step support.

• Adhere to the performance specifications of the emergency department.

• Achieve productivity benchmarks.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and undertake other related duties as assigned.

• Perform evaluations remotely through telehealth, with assessments conducted either in-person at the hospital or via telehealth.

⛳️ Requirements

• LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, master's level clinician, or psychiatric nurse (RN) is required.

• Preferred experience and training in emergency psychiatric services with adults, youth, and their families, including training in de-escalation strategies and emergency services systems of care.

• Required effective communication and organizational skills.

• Proficient computer skills and the capability to complete documentation electronically are mandatory.

• Must work on a per diem basis.

• Vaccination against influenza (flu) is required as a condition of employment.
