Crisis Clinician – Telehealth, Emergency Services, Per Diem

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Deliver behavioral health crisis consultation services along with related service delivery for youth, adults, and geriatric populations within a hospital environment.

• Conduct assessments, implement treatment interventions, and provide crisis counseling.

• Oversee the acute phase of behavioral health crises; evaluate, triage, and direct clients to suitable services.

• Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with hospital personnel and other service providers.

• Utilize supervision effectively, share relevant information, accept constructive feedback, and seek assistance for challenging cases.

• Stay updated on resources, policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance requirements.

• Respond to telephone inquiries and deliver prompt assessments and next-step guidance.

• Adhere to emergency department performance standards.

• Achieve productivity benchmarks.

• Maintain a professional demeanor and undertake other related responsibilities as assigned.

• Execute the role remotely through telehealth, with evaluations conducted either in-person or via telehealth at the designated hospital.

⛳️ Requirements

• LICSW, LCSW, LMFT, LMHC, Licensed Psychologist, master's level clinician, or psychiatric nurse (RN) is required.

• Preferred experience and training in emergency psychiatric services working with adults, youth, and their families, including training in de-escalation techniques and the emergency services system of care.

• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

• Required proficiency in computer skills and the ability to complete documentation electronically.

• Must have an influenza vaccination as a condition of employment.
