Credit Specialist, Underwriting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Dominican Republic.

📋 Description

• Function as the primary control entity for the automated credit decision-making model.

• Serve as the human intermediary to guarantee the accuracy of the credit model, maintain data integrity, and uphold risk regulations.

• Conduct manual evaluations of owner, business, and cash flow data for customer applications.

• Implement pre-decision fraud controls and address automated risk alerts.

• Oversee the escalation process to the Fraud Operations team.

• Suggest underwriting conditions prior to the final review of the model.

• Offer insights to enhance operational processes and criteria for risk assessment.

• Collaborate with the Portfolio Strategy and Fraud Operations teams.

• Aid in fostering profitable growth and the scaling of newly established teams through automation.

• Possess an analytical mindset dedicated to data validation and quantitative oversight.

• Ability to discern patterns and identify potential data integrity concerns or indicators of fraud.

• Strong teamwork skills across various departments, including Portfolio Strategy and Fraud Operations.

• Self-driven professional with sound judgment in a dynamic environment.

• Intermediate proficiency in English.

• Bilingual in Spanish and English.

• Legally permitted to work in the Dominican Republic.

• Required to disclose if employment visa sponsorship is currently or may be needed in the future.
