This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assess creditworthiness and risk for customers in Ryder's Rental, National Rental, and Freight Management Group.
• Deliver insightful analysis, recommendations, and enhancements to processes.
• Offer credit and business suggestions to local management to foster sales revenue growth while managing risk.
• Collaborate with Rental, National Rental, and FMG sales teams on credit requests for new clients and increased credit limits.
• Support lease analysts with initial credit evaluations for assignees and assignors.
• Gather Ryder documentation, including TLSA, nfusion data, and Ryder's historical records.
• Examine credit reports, Ryder's and company history, and financial statements.
• Assess customer credit deterioration and reassess desired exposure and appropriate credit limits.
• Create action plans to decrease rentals when necessary.
• Engage with stop loss, collections, sales, and operations teams regarding problematic or high-risk accounts.
• Confirm essential customer documentation and security, including ACH amendments, cash deposits, ILOCs, and guarantees.
• Monitor the Credit Hold Mailbox daily to ensure accurate information is conveyed.
• Assist with miscellaneous departmental tasks and carry out other assigned responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting, or 3 years of equivalent business experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience in commercial credit.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial statement analysis is preferred.
• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting financial data.
• Capability to complete spreads, analyze trends, and evaluate credit risks.
• Ability to manage work queues, emails, and calls from various sources.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Capacity to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Skill in making responsible credit decisions.
• Competence in assessing situations, gathering information, identifying key issues, and structuring deals to minimize risk and enhance sales.
• Exceptional judgment and decision-making capabilities.
• Detail-oriented with robust follow-up skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
• Intermediate familiarity with credit software and credit scoring systems like Cortera or Equifax.
• Willingness to travel 1–10% of the time.
