This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in the underwriting, structuring, and oversight of commercial credit relationships within a designated business line.

• Support sales teams by evaluating financial statements, determining borrower creditworthiness, and preparing credit approval documentation.

• Track financial trends, ensure compliance with covenants, and assess borrowing bases to pinpoint credit risks and suggest remedial actions.

• Work in conjunction with sales and credit teams to design deals, respond to underwriting questions, and fulfill client requirements.

• Provide mentorship to analysts by imparting knowledge in financial analysis, credit structuring, and risk evaluation.

• Remain updated on market dynamics, credit regulations, and risk management practices.

• Utilize independent judgment and discretion to make decisions concerning the assigned portfolio.

• Examine and resolve issues related to the assigned portfolio.

• Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as necessary.

• Comply with regulatory and compliance policies, standards, and relevant federal, state, and local laws.

• Complete all required compliance training.


⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred undergraduate degree (4 years or equivalent) with a Bachelor’s in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of comparable experience.

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in credit underwriting, portfolio management, or a related area.

• At least 3 years of experience in a specialized line of business (e.g., specialized commercial industries, capital markets, corporate commercial banking, etc.).

• Strong capabilities in financial analysis and risk assessment.

• Basic knowledge of loan structuring and credit agreements.

• Proficient in financial modeling and credit decision-making tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on teamwork.

• Solid foundational understanding of financial statements, key ratios, and principles of credit analysis.

• Ability to evaluate financial data, recognize trends, and assess borrower creditworthiness.

• Intermediate Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP functions.

• Familiarity with credit analysis software.

• Capability to manage multiple loan applications, adhere to deadlines, and prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Eagerness to enhance credit expertise and remain informed about industry trends.

• Qualified candidates with arrest or conviction records will be evaluated in accordance with applicable fair chance laws.
