Credit & Collection Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Process customer payments received via lockbox, ACH, wire transfers, credit cards, and checks into the accounting system.

• Investigate and rectify unapplied or misapplied cash transactions.

• Reconcile daily cash receipts with bank deposits and pinpoint discrepancies.

• Maintain records of payments, adjustments, and discrepancies to ensure audit readiness and uphold internal controls.

• Work collaboratively with AR, billing, and customer service teams to address payment issues and disputes.

• Engage with customers to clarify remittance details and resolve any discrepancies.

• Assist in customer account reconciliations and month-end closing activities.

• Adhere to internal controls and company policies for precise and compliant cash application.

• Contribute to the development of cash application procedures and suggest process enhancements.

• Prepare documentation for audits, month-end close, and management reporting.

• Undertake additional duties, special projects, and ad hoc management requests.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or a comparable accounting role.

• Proficient in Excel and data entry, with exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and electronic payment platforms.

• Experience utilizing AP/AR automation tools.

• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

• Background in waste management, utilities, logistics, or related sectors.

• Knowledge of cash posting, reconciliation, unapplied cash, and payment discrepancies.

• Experience in supporting month-end closing, audits, and internal controls.

• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance.

• English CEFR proficiency level is required for application.
