This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oklahoma.
β’ Obtain and verify all necessary credentialing and recredentialing documentation.
β’ Collaborate with staff and hospital leadership to ensure that applicants possess the appropriate credentials and training for patient care.
β’ Carry out responsibilities in accordance with Medical Staff policies, bylaws, rules, regulations, and relevant legal, state, federal, licensing board, Joint Commission, and Risk Management guidelines.
β’ Assist the Credentials Chairman and Supervisor of Medical Staff Services with privilege documents, credentialing policies, rules, and regulations.
β’ Oversee the appointment, reappointment, and credentialing processes for medical staff and allied health professionals.
β’ Ensure precise documentation and verification of education, experience, and licensure.
β’ Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards, Medical Staff bylaws and credentialing policies, and National Practitioner Data Bank guidelines.
β’ Initiate background checks and validate education, experience, and licensure using online systems, correspondence, telephone inquiries, and reference questionnaires and reports.
β’ Develop and execute systems for compiling, maintaining, and retrieving comprehensive confidential medical staff records.
β’ Monitor changes in the environment for new requirements or collaboration opportunities and communicate them effectively.
β’ Support Medical Executive Committee and Credentials Committee meetings, including preparing meeting minutes, follow-up actions, and monthly credentialing updates.
β’ Act as a resource for internal departments regarding credentialing issues, clinician privileges, and changes in health plan participation.
β’ Maintain accurate databases of provider information.
β’ Coordinate the activities of others without having supervisory responsibilities.
β’ Interact with patients, customers, healthcare professionals, staff, and Director-level personnel.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required; a college degree in a related field is preferred.
β’ A minimum of 1 year of related experience is preferred.
β’ Ability to organize, remain self-motivated, and effectively manage a demanding workload with frequent interruptions.
β’ Assertive with strong political intuitiveness skills.
β’ Proficient in professional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
β’ Detail-oriented with independent thinking and judgment capabilities.
β’ Ability to operate general office machines and utilize PC applications.
β’ Licensure, registration, and certification: None.
