Credentialed Coder, Certified

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Examine and code both inpatient and outpatient medical records.

• Allocate the correct ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.

• Confirm CPT-4 codes, DRGs, and APCs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must be residents of NJ or PA.

• Preferred 1-3 years of experience in acute care coding.

• Understanding of anatomy and physiology is essential.

• Familiarity with medical terminology is required.

• Knowledge of disease pathology is important.

• Proficiency in ICD-10-CM coding is necessary.

• Proficiency in ICD-10-PCS coding is necessary.

• Proficiency in CPT-4 coding is necessary.

• Certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA is required.

• An Associate’s degree in Health Information Technology is preferred.

• Work hours are from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

• Total bi-weekly hours: 80.
