This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Oversee the entire postproduction process, including workflows and infrastructure.
• Manage video editing and establish quality benchmarks.
• Produce reference cuts to guide freelancers.
• Offer editing-level critiques to editors.
• Organize and oversee a board system for all productions.
• Maintain transparency regarding production statuses and responsibilities.
• Create, manage, and enhance master sessions and databases in Adobe Creative Cloud for each product and feature.
• Develop template timelines and B-roll for modular multi-market creative production.
• Recruit, onboard, and evaluate freelancers and content creators.
• Draft briefs, ensure quality, and provide feedback.
• Manage contracts, purchase orders, and invoices.
• Enhance existing tools and create new tools, AI agents, and automations.
• Streamline recurring processes through automation.
• Construct systems in English suitable for cross-country applications.
• At least 3 years of experience in video editing, whether as a permanent employee or freelancer.
• Familiarity with project architecture involving collaboration with other editors.
• Responsible for managing raw footage, backups, and team archives.
• Proficient in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve at an advanced level.
• Knowledge of Shared Projects, proxy and relink workflows, template timelines, and render/delivery specifications.
• Experience in establishing production-control processes using project management tools like Monday, ClickUp, or Asana.
• Automation expertise with agentic tools such as Claude Code or Codex, or through scripting.
• Business-fluent in both German and English.
• Capable of independently identifying and resolving issues.
• Quick to grasp systems and able to self-learn new technologies.
• Focus on building and enhancing systems rather than merely operating them.
• Evaluate creative quality in context.
• Optional: Experience in paid social media contexts with Meta Ads and/or organic content.
• Optional: Previous work experience in an agency, production company, or high-volume in-house studio.
• Optional: Accountability for production budgets from estimation to final accounting.
• Optional: Experience with multi-market or multilingual productions.
• Proficient in tools such as Python, Resolve API, and ffmpeg.
