
Counsel/Senior Counsel – Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as the Company's representative in hearings, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, various litigation matters, and settlement discussions.
• Manage all facets of discovery, which includes drafting and responding to discovery requests, document collection and review, as well as taking and defending depositions.
• Perform legal research and produce memoranda, position statements, complaints, answers, briefs, motions, and other filings related to litigation and arbitration.
• Compose and reply to cease and desist letters and demand letters.
• Negotiate and resolve disputes prior to litigation.
• Evaluate, manage, and mitigate risks as necessary.
• Conduct internal investigations when appropriate.
• Oversee outside counsel for specialized expertise and more intricate litigation issues.
• Address additional legal matters as delegated by senior management.
• Minimum of 5 years of practical litigation experience, including courtroom and arbitration involvement.
• Experience in litigating employment and restrictive covenant cases, commercial contracts, customer disputes, or unfair competition issues.
• Previous experience in the financial services or real estate sectors, particularly with mortgage transactions and regulatory investigations.
• Experience supervising other attorneys and legal professionals.
