Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer legal counsel and assistance for Humana’s Medicare Advantage business lines.

• Provide guidance on Medicare Advantage regulations and associated healthcare fraud and abuse laws, including the Anti-Kickback Statute and the False Claims Act.

• Prepare contract clauses that address regulatory issues.

• Work collaboratively with company leaders to ensure adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

• Safeguard Humana from external risks.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training sessions or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree.

• Licensed to practice in at least one state.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in health law, either at a law firm or within an in-house healthcare organization.

• Familiarity with Medicare, Medicaid, or related regulatory matters.

• Excellent legal research abilities.

• Strong analytical capabilities.

• Proficient in legal writing and oral communication.

• Experience in contract negotiation.

• Capability to work independently with general supervision and collaboratively within a team.

• Ability to navigate a complex organization with a diverse clientele at all levels.

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps for download and 10 Mbps for upload.

• Capacity to work from a designated area free from ongoing interruptions to safeguard member PHI/HIPAA information.
