Cost Production Estimator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee, prepare, and implement the cost estimation procedure

• Recognize and quantify cost components, such as production time, materials, and labor costs

• Participate in product meetings and/or visit job sites to collect cost-related data

• Interpret blueprints and technical documents to create estimates

• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors to produce estimates

• Consult with industry specialists to review estimates and address challenges

• Utilize software tools to compute estimates and generate reports

• Assess product cost-effectiveness or profitability

• Offer recommendations and deliverables to enhance product cost efficiency or profitability

• Partner with sales teams to create estimates and bids for clients

• Formulate project plans for the duration of projects

• Prepare estimates for clients and other business managers

• Execute additional tasks as assigned

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field

• Over 6 years of prior cost estimating experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Occasional travel at local, national, and/or international levels may be necessary

• High proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications

• Strong skills in analysis, prioritization, interpersonal communication, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management, and planning

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, including analysis, interpretation, and reasoning

• Solid grasp and application of mathematical concepts

• Ability to cultivate and sustain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues throughout the organization, as well as with internal and external clients

• Capacity to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

• Ability to collaborate with and influence peers and senior management

• Self-motivated with a keen attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting

• Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see; occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
