Corporate & M&A Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Analyze AI-generated responses related to German corporate and commercial law.

• Assess legal reasoning in areas such as M&A, transactions, governance, and other corporate issues.

• Detect significant legal errors, omissions, unsupported conclusions, and misleading logic.

• Compare identical legal inquiries across two different AI platforms.

• Evaluate responses for accuracy, thoroughness, reasoning quality, and practical applicability.

• Rate responses according to a standardized evaluation rubric.

• Offer clear written justifications and expert insights for each assessment.

• Identify any missing legal issues or analytical steps that significantly impact responses.

• Leverage professional experience in corporate, M&A, and transactional law practice.

• Review transaction structures, corporate governance, commercial agreements, and execution of deals.

• Evaluate legal analysis from the viewpoint of a practicing attorney.

• Uphold professional standards in line with established practices of German law firms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be qualified to practice law in Germany.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a law firm is required; 3+ years is preferred.

• Significant professional experience in corporate law, M&A, or transactional practices.

• Primary professional experience should be from a recognized law firm.

• Candidates currently employed in-house may be considered if they transitioned from law firm practice within approximately the last two years.

• Strong understanding of German corporate and commercial law is essential.

• Must possess native or fluent proficiency in German.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to articulate legal reasoning clearly.

• High attention to detail, legal accuracy, and analytical consistency is crucial.

• Capability to work independently while adhering to structured rubrics and deadlines.

• Experience in reviewing complex legal research or written legal analyses is highly valued.

• Must be available for an initial commitment of approximately 10 hours.

• Ability to adhere to confidentiality and NDA obligations.

• Required to complete work without utilizing any confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party.
