Corporate Communications Director

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create and implement a thorough corporate communications strategy across all platforms.

• Manage media relations comprehensively and cultivate connections with leading technology, security, and business media outlets.

• Formulate and execute a strategy for analyst relationships to position XBOW as the leading entity in autonomous offensive security.

• Organize and conduct analyst briefings and inquiries.

• Collaborate with the CEO and executive team on thought leadership content, bylines, speaking engagements, and public narratives.

• Oversee crisis communication planning and response initiatives.

• Work alongside Marketing, Product, and Sales to develop messaging for product launches, funding achievements, and significant company events.

• Set and monitor communications KPIs.

• Provide reports on share of voice, media sentiment, analyst coverage, and brand awareness.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 12 years of corporate B2B SaaS communications experience in a dynamic technology or cybersecurity company or agency.

• At least 5 years of communications experience focused on developers and/or application security professionals and CISOs.

• Over 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity, AI, or deep-tech industries.

• Knowledge of the threat landscape and the mindset of security buyers.

• Proficient storytelling abilities with the capacity to convert complex technical ideas into clear, engaging narratives for varied audiences.

• Established connections with journalists and editors at prominent technology and business publications.

• Proven track record of securing significant media placements.

• Experience in executive communications and direct collaboration with senior leadership.

• Capability to handle multiple workstreams, deadlines, and stakeholders concurrently in a startup environment.

• Demonstrated experience in managing sensitive communication scenarios and reputational challenges.

• Advanced daily use of generative AI for creating, editing, and enhancing communications.

• Existing relationships with security-oriented media outlets, industry analysts like Gartner or Forrester, and relevant conference organizers (bonus).

• Experience in supporting communications related to venture funding rounds, acquisitions, or other critical corporate milestones (bonus).

• Familiarity with AI-driven communications tools (bonus).

• Knowledge of bug bounty programs, penetration testing, and integrating security into developer workflows (bonus).
