Corporate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Evaluate AI-generated responses to legal inquiries for accuracy in substance and quality of reasoning.

• Determine if legal conclusions are substantiated by relevant authorities and sound analytical reasoning.

• Detect flawed reasoning, unsupported assumptions, significant omissions, citation inaccuracies, and jurisdictional concerns.

• Analyze contract interpretation, drafting, corporate law, commercial legal matters, transactions, and due diligence situations.

• Review legal authorities and citations for fabrication, irrelevance, incorrect representation, and insufficient support.

• Compose expert-level prompts based on realistic legal contexts.

• Create high-quality reference answers that illustrate rigorous legal reasoning.

• Develop evaluation materials that assess nuanced legal interpretation.

• Provide comprehensive critiques and structured feedback on AI-generated legal analyses.

• Identify recurring weaknesses in legal model outputs.

• Convey complex legal concepts clearly and precisely in plain English.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience practicing as an attorney at a prestigious or highly regarded law firm.

• A portion of the relevant legal experience should have been acquired within the last approximately 7 years.

• Strong skills in legal research and legal writing.

• Practical knowledge in contract law, corporate law, contract drafting, legal analysis, or due diligence.

• Ability to recognize flawed reasoning, unsupported conclusions, and jurisdictional issues.

• Excellent judgment in evaluating legal authorities and citation quality.

• Capacity to write clearly for both legal and non-legal audiences.

• An undergraduate degree from a highly ranked university is preferred.

• Preference for candidates based in English-speaking countries.

• Exceptional written English and strong plain-language communication abilities.

• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party.
