Corporate Action Entitlement Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Assist in operational workflows to ensure the prompt and precise settlement of security, derivative, foreign exchange, and money market transactions on a global scale.

• Provide both pre- and post-settlement assistance for account setup, transaction confirmations, cash management, margin, and collateral activities.

• Aid in specialized functions such as asset servicing, corporate actions/entitlements, correspondent banking services, and wire payment processing.

• Ensure adherence to regulatory and reporting standards.

• Collect and organize data for routine and on-demand reports and dashboards.

• Support the implementation and maintenance of change management initiatives.

• Act as a resource for junior team members in problem-solving scenarios.

• Arrange work-related information to guarantee precision and completeness.

• Process service requests, transactions, and inquiries within established service-level agreements.

• Adhere to established policies and procedures while verifying and reconciling information and documentation.

• Analyze data, providing insights and actionable recommendations.

• Identify, address, and escalate issues and discrepancies as necessary.

• Interact directly with clients to resolve concerns.

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

• Maintain relationships with stakeholders and ensure service delivery expectations are met.

• Comprehend regulatory requirements and operational risks.

• Collaborate on the development of new processes, systems, and enhancements.

• Assist in the creation of tools and the delivery of training programs.

• Complete a range of complex and varied tasks while managing escalations.

• Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make informed risk decisions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically possess 2–3 years of relevant experience.

• A post-secondary degree in a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Familiarity and experience with relevant systems and technology.

• Understanding of business unit products, services, processes, and controls.

• Knowledge of risk management and regulatory requirements.

• Strong prioritization skills.

• Excellent customer service abilities.

• Proficient in PC applications, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Specialized knowledge in the relevant domain.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Good organizational capabilities.

• Effective collaboration and teamwork skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience with reconciliation processes and/or accounting principles is considered an asset.

• Basic knowledge of Corporate Actions, especially income events.
