Corporate Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Supervise the accounting functions of the organization

• Generate precise financial statements

• Maintain trustworthy accounting documentation

• Establish effective controls and budgets to reduce risk, enhance financial accuracy, and ensure compliance with GAAP

• Execute accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing, manual check application, aging reports, and account reconciliation

• Record routine journal entries and bank transactions

• Process accounts payable invoices and credit card transactions as necessary

• Conduct month-end closing and reconciliation processes

• Reconcile, investigate, amend, and adjust accounting data

• Carry out bank reconciliations

• Provide support to department colleagues as required

• Collaborate across various business units to acquire operational insights and assist departmental projects

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance

• 1–2 years of experience in accrual basis accounting, encompassing accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing and reconciliation, and bank reconciliation

• Consistent and dependable attendance

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities; capable of engaging with all levels within the organization

• Proficient in planning, organizing, and managing projects effectively

• Detail-oriented, with strong proofreading and editing capabilities

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and work independently

• Self-driven and proactive

• Must be legally authorized to work in the country where the position is located

• Willingness to undergo a Level II background and/or security investigation involving fingerprinting

• Willingness to participate in drug testing (not applicable in Canada)
