Copy Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Assist aligned Managing Editors and dedicated account teams with their daily and evolving requirements

• Edit, proofread, verify data, submit materials, and carry out various editorial tasks as needed

• Stay informed about client-specific, AMA, and Chicago style guidelines

• Contribute to the updates of Editorial SOPs, frequently raised editorial questions/issues, and team-specific requests and preferences

• Address copy-editing inquiries from scientific directors and other team members

• Review content for grammatical accuracy, stylistic standards, and narrative coherence when requested

• Coordinate responsibilities with the lead editor and Traffic Management

• Ensure prompt communication among Accounts, Scientific, and external contributors

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is mandatory

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in medical editing

• Proven medical editing experience is essential

• Preferred experience across various therapeutic areas and media formats

• Required publications experience

• Proficient with EndNote is necessary

• Familiarity with relevant style guidelines, including client-specific, AMA, and Chicago styles

• Requires flexibility, innovation, and the ability to exercise independent judgment
