This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the planning and production of content for live match broadcasts across linear, streaming, and social media platforms.
• Create and manage a content planning system that addresses the specific needs and prioritized production tasks for each match.
• Collaborate with game producers to determine content requirements, narrative arcs, and sponsorship obligations.
• Delegate and supervise video edits, graphic designs, and other broadcast materials until final approval is achieved.
• Develop workflows to ensure prompt delivery of match-ready content and adaptability to real-time production demands.
• Address content and production challenges during live matches.
• Organize and oversee freelance Associate Producers and Production Assistants while adhering to budget constraints.
• Ensure post-match content and after-hours deliverables are completed accurately and punctually.
• Discover opportunities to integrate social media and content team materials into broadcasts.
• Collaborate on site assessments and broadcast planning to ensure venues are equipped for expected production formats.
• Work with broadcast partners on match content, providing creative and production advice.
• Partner with external production vendors to strategize and implement content and broadcast support.
• Coordinate with Broadcast Operations to establish suitable venue production plans.
• Supervise athlete medical operations, including physical examinations, medical onboarding and exit processes, injury documentation, referrals, rehabilitation, and return-to-play protocols.
• Ensure uniform medical documentation, reporting systems, and the use of electronic medical record platforms across teams.
• Act as a liaison between Broadcast, Social, Content, Production Operations, and external partners.
• Enhance collaboration and visibility across content and production workflows.
• Repurpose and extend live broadcast content across LOVB's digital and social media channels.
• Maintain ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the season.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in production, preferably in live sports.
• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Production, Communications, Journalism, Media Production, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
• Experience in producing, editing, and/or capturing content for live sports or similar media settings.
• Previous management of editors, Associate Producers, Production Assistants, or other production resources in fast-paced environments.
• Familiarity with linear television, streaming platforms, and social media production settings.
• Understanding of live sports production workflows, including producing, editing, graphics, and content capture.
• Demonstrated success in managing multiple production streams and deliverables in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong grasp of graphics workflows in live sports production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, Photoshop, and related software.
• Comprehensive knowledge of volleyball culture, terminology, and effective storytelling within the sport.
• Excellent leadership and coordination skills in managing freelance production resources and urgent content needs.
• Proven collaboration with broadcast partners, external production vendors, and internal content teams.
• Videography skills with DSLR, mirrorless, or similar professional camera systems.
• Proficient in using computers, Google Suite, and common business communication tools.
• Willingness to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by team competition schedules or medical situations.
• Flexible remote work arrangement.
• Occasional travel for site visits and business-related events.
• Regular travel to LOVB team markets, league events, and other business functions.
