Conversational AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

📋 Description

• Evaluate customer workflows to determine automation opportunities and identify appropriate platforms.

• Create solution concepts for voice and chatbot implementations utilizing leading platform providers.

• Analyze and convey technical feasibility, required effort, and associated risks.

• Configure and develop voicebots and chatbots on recognized Conversational AI platforms.

• Design, test, and enhance prompts and dialogue flows.

• Perform quality assurance and consistently enhance bot performance.

• Integrate interfaces with customer systems, including APIs and data flows.

• Execute technical solutions using JavaScript and Python.

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including technology evaluation and configuration through to go-live.

• Organize project management and facilitate stakeholder communication.

• Collaborate with customer IT teams for system integration.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation that encompasses configurations, interfaces, and prompt libraries.

• Proactively share knowledge within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related technical field is required.

• 3–5 years of relevant professional experience as a Conversational AI Engineer, Solution Engineer, Technical Consultant, or a similar role.

• Demonstrated project experience in implementing voicebots or chatbots on established platforms.

• In-depth knowledge of configuration and prompt engineering on Conversational AI platforms.

• Proficiency in programming with JavaScript and Python.

• Experience with API integration and system architecture.

• Capability to evaluate automation potential in customer workflows.

• Strong project management and technical documentation skills.

• Experience in a customer experience (CX) environment is advantageous.

• Proficiency in German at C1 level is mandatory.

• English at B2 level is beneficial.

• Strong technical affinity and a methodical, solution-driven approach to work.

• Ability to rapidly learn new technologies.

• Competence in clearly articulating technical concepts.

• Ability to work autonomously and maintain resilience during project phases.
