Controls Program Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and manage New Product Introduction engineering development initiatives through every stage of the Gas Power product life cycle.

• Execute program management for assigned projects in accordance with GE Gas Power Program Managers Standard Work procedure.

• Develop and sustain both internal and external project timelines.

• Confirm resource allocations and oversee expenditures in alignment with the plan.

• Direct internal and external teams through the NPI Development Process.

• Ensure compliance with engineering policies and procedures.

• Coordinate engineering sub-functions to ensure projects are completed on schedule, thoroughly tested, and properly documented.

• Manage program risks and implement mitigations to prevent execution failures.

• Communicate program status and issues to both engineering and commercial stakeholders.

• Provide spending updates and forecasts to Business Operations and Quality teams.

• Maintain essential business metrics related to the quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of NPI deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Computer Science.

• At least 8 years of experience in engineering or program/project management of engineered systems.

• Outstanding communication abilities and the capacity to engage with leadership confidently and clearly.

• Familiarity with GE Power project tracking tools, processes, and methodologies.

• Graduate of an engineering program or holder of an advanced engineering degree.

• Previous experience in electronic hardware or software development.

• Understanding of engineering, manufacturing, and customer service processes.

• Strong organizational and project execution capabilities.

• Proven success in collaborating with or leading cross-functional teams.

• Commitment to customer satisfaction.

• Demonstrated skills in leadership, team building, and communication.

• Highly motivated and energetic, with a self-starting attitude.

• Ability to influence others and garner support for ideas.

• Skill in identifying opportunities and advocating for necessary changes with team input and backing.

• Capacity to work effectively with global teams, including flexibility with time zones when required.
