This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Ensure the precision, completeness, and timely delivery of monthly financial reports.

• Conduct technical accounting analyses in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).

• Evaluate, summarize, and communicate financial results to senior leadership.

• Facilitate and provide analyses that support decision-making for senior leadership.

• Lead, coach, and mentor a team of finance professionals, including CPAs and CPA candidates.

• Review multi-element software contracts for accurate revenue recognition as per IFRS 15, including regular evaluations of supporting schedules.

• Coordinate audit requests and address inquiries during quarterly reviews, as well as interim and year-end audits.

• Assist the M&A team with financial due diligence tasks.

• Oversee the financial integration of new acquisitions, including intangible valuations and accounting entries related to acquisitions.

• Act as a trusted business advisor to operational senior leadership teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting or finance setting.

• CPA (or equivalent) qualification.

• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with direct reports and internal stakeholders.

• Knowledge of the IFRS reporting framework.

• Progressive experience within an accounting firm or software company.

• Experience in project accounting.
