Business Unit Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the accounting and financial reporting for designated software business units

• Ensure adherence to Partner One policies and US GAAP standards

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, which include revenue recognition, accruals, reconciliations, and preparation of financial statements

• Monitor performance against established targets and provide variance analysis along with decision-support insights

• Develop and sustain financial and operational metrics such as ARR, churn, deferred revenue, and EBITDA

• Collaborate with business leaders and the CFO to foster accountability, transparency, and decisions driven by value

• Enhance internal controls and optimize accounting workflows and processes

• Work together with centralized finance teams, including payroll, tax, treasury, and AP/AR

• Participate in M&A integration, purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, and system transitions

• Oversee audits, statutory filings, and ensure local and international financial compliance

• Mentor, develop, and coach local finance and accounting staff

• Report directly to the CFO

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

• Over 10 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or financial management

• Minimum of 3 years in the software industry or a complex, multi-entity corporate setting

• Strong grasp of SaaS financial metrics and principles of revenue recognition

• Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, consolidation, budgeting, and analysis

• Proficient in accounting software such as Sage Intacct or NetSuite

• Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilities

• Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills

• Ability to excel in a dynamic, remote, and international work environment

• Proven track record in team building and staff development
