This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Take ownership of the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation processes for three US entities and their international sub-entities in NetSuite.
• Develop efficient, precise, and repeatable closing procedures while adhering to a 5–7 business-day close calendar.
• Manage the general ledger, chart of accounts, revenue recognition, project costing, and the segmentation architecture within NetSuite.
• Formulate accounting policies, document processes, and establish internal controls.
• Oversee services revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, which includes managing WIP, unbilled revenue, and ensuring the integrity of consultant time-entry to revenue.
• Act as the company-side owner during the external audit process.
• Handle international accounting and compliance tasks, including the conversion from local standards to US GAAP, adherence to statutory calendars, intercompany transactions, transfer pricing execution, and multi-currency reporting.
• Support treasury and cash management activities, which encompass daily cash operations, banking, 13-week cash forecasting, debt covenant compliance, and working capital management.
• Collaborate with FP&A to provide operating metrics such as utilization, realization, effective rate, leverage, and project margin.
• Lead accounting diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions, including managing opening balance sheets, purchase price allocation, NetSuite conversion, ASC 805 setup, and the integration of new entities.
• Guide, evaluate, develop, and enhance the accounting team from performing transactional tasks to engaging in technical accounting.
• Experience within the professional services, consulting, or field services sectors; a structured background centered on billable-hour economics is essential.
• Proficient understanding of utilization, realization, bill rate, leverage, WIP, unbilled revenue, and project-level profitability.
• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite, preferably involving multiple subsidiaries and currencies.
• Over 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• A minimum of 3 years in roles such as Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Director in organizations with international exposure and consolidation experience.
• CPA or CMA designation is highly preferred.
• Proven experience in consolidating multi-entity groups that include foreign subsidiaries, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and currency translation.
• Experience managing an audit from the perspective of the company.
• Skilled in building structures, crafting policies, documenting procedures, maintaining reconciliation discipline, and establishing internal controls.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, particularly ASC 606 for services revenue and ASC 805 for consolidations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop an accounting team.
