This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Lead the preparation, negotiation, and administration of large-scale Firm Fixed Price and defined-delivery contracts for the federal government.
• Oversee complex contracts throughout the stages of acquisition, baseline management, execution, and closeout.
• Review, interpret, and negotiate the terms and conditions of contracts.
• Identify contractual risks, develop strategies for mitigation, and safeguard SAIC’s financial interests.
• Maintain contract baselines, deliverables, responsibilities, and milestones.
• Monitor and communicate any changes, modifications, and obligations related to contracts.
• Assist with audits, contract data requests, and compliance evaluations.
• Assess and guide proposal activities alongside Program Managers, capture teams, and pricing analysts.
• Draft terms and conditions specific to proposals and lead innovative solutions for proposal submissions.
• Aid in the negotiation and finalization of contract awards.
• Formulate negotiation strategies and address complex contractual issues.
• Negotiate with Federal clients, resolve disputes, and enhance customer relationships.
• Conduct program risk assessments and provide financial insights, including margin analysis and burn-rate forecasts.
• Assess the impacts of proposed changes and suggest revised positions accordingly.
• Collaborate across functions to ensure alignment of proposal, contract, and program activities with business and financial strategies.
• Convey complex legal, financial, and programmatic matters to senior leadership, program staff, legal, finance, and external stakeholders.
• Share best practices to enhance contract management, compliance, and the quality of proposals.
• A Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of experience in federal contracts/contract management; a Master’s degree with 13+ years of experience; or a PhD/JD with 10+ years of experience.
• Four years of relevant professional experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Extensive experience in negotiating and managing Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Fixed Price Incentive (FPIF) contracts across high-value federal programs.
• Proficiency in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and federal procurement processes is essential.
• Demonstrated ability to serve as a business advisor, foster stakeholder relationships, and lead effective negotiations under tight deadlines.
• Outstanding written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to distill complex contractual and financial subjects into clear, actionable insights.
• Proven capability to independently resolve intricate contractual and financial issues while managing compliance and risk.
• CPCM or CFCM certification is preferred.
