This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Direct the complete contract and subcontract processes for SAIC’s Civilian Business Group.
• Provide guidance to Market Leaders, Account Leaders, and finance teams on contract strategies, financial frameworks, compliance, and program outcomes.
• Supervise a high-performing team responsible for managing strategic and intricate contracting activities across various programs.
• Review, negotiate, and execute contracts in accordance with FAR/DFARS regulations and corporate compliance directives.
• Occasionally act as the contractual lead for high-profile proposals, managing cost and contracts volumes as Book Boss.
• Prepare and present written and verbal communications to executive management, Federal Government officials, and external stakeholders.
• Lead and facilitate sensitive contract discussions with customers.
• Assess the financial implications and risk exposure related to contracts and subcontracts, offering actionable insights.
• Ensure adherence to Government contract stipulations, company policies, federal and state laws, and agency supplements.
• Oversee subcontractor relationships and performance throughout the program lifecycle.
• Support and mentor team members across contract and procurement functions.
• Report directly to the CBG Contracts and Procurement Vice President, addressing or escalating issues while providing solutions.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field with 18+ years of experience, or a Master’s Degree with 16+ years of experience, or a PhD or JD with 13+ years of experience.
• An additional 4+ years of experience may substitute for a degree.
• At least 15 years of progressive experience in contracts and procurement, demonstrating expertise in managing high-complexity and high-value contracts.
• Proven capability to understand the connection between financial, contractual, and business operations.
• Experience with CPFF, CPAF, CPIF, FPI, and FFP contracts, as well as FAR, DFARS, and agency supplements.
• A history of achieving favorable outcomes in complex negotiations with both Government and commercial clients.
• Extensive understanding of relevant federal regulations (CPSR, TINA, CAS).
• Exceptional skill in effectively communicating intricate contractual and business challenges to various stakeholders.
• Proficient in Costpoint or similar procurement software, along with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with contracting for emerging technologies such as AI, cloud, and as-a-service models.
• Experience managing contracts throughout their entire lifecycle, from bid and proposal to execution.
• Strong aptitude for identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial, operational, and compliance risks.
• Proven ability to collaborate with leadership across the organization to drive strategic alignment and accomplish enterprise objectives.
• Some travel will be necessary to support interactions with SAIC business groups, leadership, and client organizations.
