Contracts Manager – Central Function

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Volta's contracting strategy regarding general contractor, package, and vendor agreements.

• Establish standard contract templates, flow-down provisions, and commercial terms for the entire fleet.

• Lead significant negotiations in collaboration with procurement and project leadership.

• Provide functional oversight to the contract leads integrated within each project team.

• Develop practices to avoid claims and manage disputes as they occur.

• Oversee commercial governance, delegations, and approvals throughout projects.

• Ensure compliance of contracting standards across various jurisdictions.

• Educate and enhance commercial capabilities within the delivery organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Leadership in contracts for data center or major capital projects is a must.

• Extensive knowledge of construction contracting models and standard forms across international markets.

• Proven track record in negotiation and claims management for complex construction projects.

• Experience navigating multiple jurisdictions while adhering to standards.

• Strong commercial judgment under the pressure of delivery timelines.

• Ability to lead functionally across integrated project teams with credibility.

• Willingness to travel to various sites as needed.
