This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the entire RFI/RFP process, developing bid and solicitation packages while ensuring that all bid documents are complete and accurate.
• Organize pre-bid meetings and manage communication with bidders throughout the solicitation process.
• Propel competitive sourcing initiatives to achieve cost savings and enhance the value of expenditures.
• Facilitate cross-functional bid evaluations considering price, schedule, scope, and commercial risk.
• Conduct bid review meetings and present award suggestions to leadership.
• Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers, providing commercial recommendations.
• Identify and address commercial and contractual risks throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Draft, revise, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions in collaboration with the Legal department and other teams.
• Maintain standard templates, fallback positions, and a negotiation playbook in conjunction with Legal.
• Oversee contract signature routing, execution, and distribution processes.
• Identify, prequalify, and onboard vendors while ensuring they maintain approved-supplier status.
• Manage the performance of EPC and suppliers through scorecards and regular business reviews.
• Collaborate closely with Legal, Engineering, Finance, Delivery, project management, development, and other cross-functional teams.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in contract management, commercial roles, or procurement.
• At least 2 years of direct experience with EPC or construction contracts.
• Background in utility-scale renewable energy, power, infrastructure, heavy civil, or large construction/EPC projects; experience with utility-scale solar or renewables is preferred.
• Proven track record in leading commercial negotiations for high-value EPC, construction, or supply agreements.
• Practical experience in drafting, redlining, and managing commercial agreements.
• Strong understanding of payment structures, milestones, liquidated damages, warranties, indemnification, limitation of liability, insurance, change orders, and termination clauses.
• Familiarity with the structures of EPC/construction services agreements.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills with delivery, engineering, finance, development, and legal teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, business, finance, supply chain, engineering, economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant certifications such as NCMA CPCM/CFCM, ISM CPSM, or PMP are preferred.
