Contracts Management Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +9 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration of contracts for the organization.

• Engage in the development and execution of contract management tools and processes.

• Participate in daily meetings for the distribution and assignment of contracts.

• Evaluate, draft, redline, and manage contracts and related information within a contract management database.

• Review and modify proposed contract language to ensure adherence to policy, guidelines, legal standards, and business compliance.

• Analyze business terms and negotiate resolutions to contract-related issues with vendors and payers.

• Prepare contract documentation for approval and execution.

• Confirm the intent of proposed contracts with both internal and external clients, as well as legal counsel.

• Interpret contract language and address any issues that arise.

• For managed care assignments, analyze and compile data, monitor contracts, maintain matrices and files, track key activity dates, and keep contract workflow logs up to date.

• Contribute to significant projects as required.

• Collaborate internally with all levels of company management and externally with vendors and other payers.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or a related field is required.

• A minimum of three years of legal experience, preferably in contract drafting, preparation, and analysis.

• Proven ability in problem analysis and resolution.

• Proficient in contract management.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Well-developed interpersonal and active listening skills.

• Capability to work independently.

• Demonstrated adaptability in managing multiple projects.

• Strong skills in computer usage and database management.

• For managed care assignments: robust contract writing skills and knowledge of patient financial claims systems.

• Certification as a Paralegal is preferred.

• Additional relevant education and/or experience is preferred.
