Contracts Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Offer daily legal counsel and assistance for designated products, programs, or business divisions.

• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements, terms, and associated documentation, including vendor MSAs, SaaS and software contracts, professional services, benefits, and recruitment agreements.

• Analyze and apply relevant laws, regulations, industry standards, and data usage requirements to product features, workflows, and business operations.

• Collaborate with teams in product development, engineering, operations, procurement, sourcing, finance, information security, privacy, and human resources.

• Investigate, evaluate, and assist in resolving legal matters, complaints, and escalations.

• Create and maintain guidance materials, playbooks, templates, and knowledge resources.

• Provide education and training to business partners regarding legal obligations, risks, and standard procedures.

• Work alongside senior attorneys on strategic initiatives, cross-functional projects, and emerging issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

• Active legal license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction, in good standing.

• 4–6 years of professional legal experience.

• Preferred experience in supporting clients in technology, media, financial services, or real estate sectors.

• Background in advising on regulatory, commercial, or product counseling issues.

• Proficiency in interpreting and applying relevant laws, regulations, or industry standards to business operations.

• Capability to manage a moderate portfolio of matters or workstreams with minimal supervision.

• Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
