Contract Negotiator, III

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Facilitate and negotiate agreements for hospitals, physicians, IPAs, PPMs, individual providers, multi-specialty groups, and ancillary services.

• Negotiate SCA rates within established parameters and escalate any arising issues.

• Draft SCAs utilizing approved language and rates.

• Manage the routing and tracking of SCAs through the SharePoint system.

• Inform both internal and external stakeholders upon SCA execution and ensure SCAs are filed in designated folders.

• Support teams in identifying participating provider options and deliver appropriate selections.

• Redirect inquiries to cost-effective alternative providers when participating providers are not available.

• Alert management regarding providers willing to contract to address gaps or access-to-care issues.

• Prioritize urgent requests, imminent discharges/transfers, and complaints.

• Provide timely redirection options to prevent unnecessary SCAs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the necessity for employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Over 4 years of experience in contracting or provider relations within a healthcare, managed care, or insurance environment.

• Familiarity with State and/or Federal healthcare programs is preferred (Medicaid, Medicare).

• Candidates must reside in Texas.

• Occasional local travel may be necessary.
