Contract Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kansas.

📋 Description

• Deliver consecutive interpretation in the first-person perspective.

• Adhere to the interpreter protocols and procedures mandated by Propio Language Services clients.

• Comply with Propio's policies and procedures regarding information confidentiality and interpreter ethics.

• Continuously enhance vocabulary and specialized knowledge in medical, legal, social services, and related sectors for client benefit.

⛳️ Requirements

• Provide an updated resume in English during the application process.

• Achieve a "technical proficiency" rating (3 or above on the nationally recognized ILR scale) on the English Language Proficiency assessment.

• Successfully complete a mock oral interpretation session and meet the passing criteria against 24 established quality standards.

• Finish Propio's online Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology Assessment with a satisfactory score.

• Undergo a comprehensive background check and security screening.

• Sign a commitment agreement to maintain confidentiality, adhere to ethical standards, and comply with HIPAA regulations.

• A minimum of 1 year of interpreting experience is preferred.
