This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Turkey, +5 more countries.
• Oversee the intake, evaluation, negotiation, approval, execution, storage, renewal, and termination processes for Corporate Legal contracts and engagement letters.
• Maintain a library of approved templates, playbooks, approval standards, and a comprehensive contract repository.
• Monitor key terms, obligations, notice periods, renewals, pricing adjustments, service levels, and termination rights.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Information Technology, and business owners to address contract issues and secure necessary approvals.
• Foster relationships with external counsel, legal vendors, and service providers, including onboarding, defining engagement scope, performance expectations, and managing issue escalation.
• Set vendor performance benchmarks, service-level expectations, review schedules, and corrective-action protocols.
• Assist in competitive sourcing, due diligence, conflicts assessments, and the evaluation of new vendors and law firms.
• Promote consistency and efficiency in law firm engagement and matter-assignment workflows.
• Examine outside counsel and vendor invoices for compliance with engagement terms, approved scope, rates, and billing criteria.
• Collaborate with Finance to track legal expenditures, budget, accruals, and variance reporting.
• Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, term renegotiation, service enhancement, and cost control.
• Generate reports on vendor performance, contract status, upcoming renewals, expenditures, and risk factors.
• Develop and document scalable policies, procedures, controls, and quality-assurance standards for contracting and vendor management.
• Keep records of approvals, executed agreements, amendments, insurance, and supporting due diligence documentation.
• Escalate significant contractual, performance, compliance, security, or financial risks to Corporate Legal leadership.
• Supervise and mentor the Contract and Vendor Management Associate, including task assignments and quality assessments.
• Bachelor's degree in business, legal studies, finance, supply chain, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be accepted.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management, vendor management, legal operations, procurement, or a corporate legal setting.
• Proven experience in negotiating commercial terms and managing contracts throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Experience in overseeing outside counsel or professional service vendors, as well as reviewing invoices, rates, budgets, or accruals.
• Strong project management capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders effectively.
• Preferably experienced in financial services, commercial lending, private lending, banking, fintech, specialty finance, mortgage lending, or another highly regulated sector.
• Skills in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of vendor due diligence, performance management, and service-level monitoring.
• Experience in legal billing, spend analysis, budget tracking, and invoice assessment.
• Familiarity with contract repositories, matter-management systems, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Reliable and stable internet connection.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, multinational organization while maintaining confidentiality.
