Contract and Change Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will assist project teams in the economic evaluation of construction projects and collaborate with management to enhance change order management.

• Change order preparation and processing: You will evaluate contract deviations and formulate relevant change claims.

• Documentation review: Analyze bills of quantities/specifications, contracts, and tender documents.

• Identification of change order opportunities: Assess economic potential during project execution.

• Communication related to contracts: Prepare disruption/delay notices and other essential correspondence.

• Estimation & evaluation: Conduct economic assessments of change orders and aid in price determination.

• Team collaboration: Coordinate with project managers, site managers, and clients.

• Negotiation preparation: Assist in change order negotiations and eventually conduct negotiations independently.

• Area development: Actively engage in shaping and enhancing the company's change order processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in a construction-related field, such as Civil Engineering or Industrial Engineering; alternatively, further training as a construction technician or a similar technical qualification.

• A technical understanding of construction processes with an interest in economic factors.

• Familiarity with VOB/B and a grasp of contractual issues.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Fluent in German for effective internal and external communication.

• Preferred: Initial professional experience in building construction (primary construction trades).

• Experience in estimating, site management, construction billing/accounting, or change order management.

• Familiarity with bills of quantities/specifications.

• Strong negotiation skills when interacting with clients.
