This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assist in facilitating workshops and discussions to gain insights into clients’ businesses, technologies, audiences, objectives, and customer requirements.
• Perform both primary and secondary research, including user studies and analysis.
• Integrate research findings into a clear and actionable direction for clients and teams.
• Identify target audiences, competitors, positioning, messaging, naming, and other strategic essentials.
• Develop content strategies, outlines, and copy for websites, presentations, marketing, sales materials, and various other deliverables.
• Convert highly technical content into engaging material while ensuring scientific accuracy.
• Act as an advocate for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee feedback and revision processes while maintaining attention to project specifics and business goals.
• Collaborate with scientific professionals to guarantee that content is precise, credible, and suitably detailed.
• Work alongside brand and visual designers to turn strategy and content into final products.
• Assist in crafting information diagrams and data visualizations that balance technical precision with clarity.
• Aid in presenting work to clients.
• A strong portfolio showcasing the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, engaging content across websites, presentations, brand systems, and marketing or sales materials.
• Experience with intricate subject matter, preferably in biotech, life sciences, deep tech, or similarly technical fields.
• Capability to link content decisions to business goals, audience needs, positioning, and the overarching purpose of the work.
• A genuine interest in gaining knowledge about science and technology.
• Proficiency in researching and comprehending unfamiliar, highly technical subjects.
• Comfort in collaborating across disciplines with strategists, scientists, writers, designers, developers, project managers, and client stakeholders.
• Experience working with creative agencies and/or product teams.
• Understanding of developing deliverables such as websites, presentations, products, and brand identities.
• Availability for at least 5 hours of overlap with New York, NY, USA time.
• Potential opportunity to transition to a full-time role following the successful completion of 2–3 projects.
• Fixed-fee budgets assigned for well-defined projects.
• Hourly rates applicable for less-defined or one-off tasks.
• Remote-first work environment.
