This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +4 more states.
• Create clear and consistent UI text across various flows, which includes labels, error messages, empty states, onboarding instructions, and tooltips.
• Direct information architecture and navigation design for intricate product areas by utilizing research that aligns with user mental models.
• Establish and uphold cross-product terminology.
• Collaborate with product management and product marketing to address naming discrepancies and facilitate lasting decisions.
• Generate content-driven guidelines and reusable patterns for error messaging, capitalization, and in-product assistance.
• Design and sustain in-product guidance experiences such as walkthroughs and tours to aid onboarding and feature adoption.
• Work together on design system standards to guarantee that content patterns are compliant and can be reused across the portfolio.
• Team up with design and research on usability studies and card sorting exercises.
• Assist product designers with frameworks and AI-assisted tools to ensure quality at scale.
• Collaborate with product design, product management, engineering, research, and marketing teams.
• Enhance coherent user experiences across security, observability, and platform products.
• Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Relevant experience encompasses content design and UX writing practices.
• Proficiency in content design, UX writing, or a closely related field within complex software products.
• Strong expertise in crafting UI text, featuring clear and concise writing with a consistent voice across various UI surfaces.
• Ability to think structurally regarding information architecture, taxonomy, and navigation.
• Comfortable working with Figma and design systems.
• Experience in driving cross-functional alignment on terminology and naming decisions with product, marketing, and engineering stakeholders.
• Adaptability and resilience when navigating ambiguous situations.
• Capability to articulate the strategic value of the discipline to key stakeholders.
