Consulting Engineer – Physical Delivery, Pipelining

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct consultations with clients to plan, design, implement, and support Physical Security Systems.

• Develop and execute the technical architecture and physical layout of the network by analyzing existing Physical Security Systems and suggesting enhancements.

• Configure, install, and test Physical Security Systems, which encompass video surveillance, access control, sensors, air quality management, and third-party integrations.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, and resolve intricate hardware and software issues.

• Support Account Managers during the sales process by informing customers about emerging technologies in the Physical Security sector.

• Identify and relay potential cross-selling opportunities to the sales team.

• Assist in project management by applying CDW's project management methodologies.

• Adhere to lifecycle-oriented processes and procedures.

• Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise applications.

• Engage in various IT projects aimed at improving and upgrading converged network solutions.

• Develop and implement test plans to meet project requirements for assigned components.

• Manage time and expenses to fulfill or surpass expectations outlined in the Statement of Work.

• Deliver high-quality content using the appropriate document templates.

• Ensure that solutions are implemented as designed, meeting customer satisfaction and approval.

• Collaborate with Professional Services Managers, Sellers, Project Managers, Partners, and clients to manage expectations and timelines, ensuring commitments are met.

• Lead design workshops for complex projects to fulfill customer, partner, business, and technical objectives.

• Proactively create plans and activities to prevent issues.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or a related technical field, along with 3 years of experience in delivering complex technical solutions, including planning, development, implementation, and support.

• Alternatively, 7 years of overall Information Technology experience, including 3 years focused on delivering complex technical solutions involving planning, development, implementation, and support.

• A minimum of 2 years of consulting experience is required.

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in infrastructure/network environments, with experience in network engineering (both hardware and software), network security practices, and designing, planning, and implementing LANs and WANs using cutting-edge technology.

• Experience with Genetec or Milestone systems engineering is essential.

• At least one year of experience in programming or analytical work is required.

• Willingness to work weekends and/or off-hours as needed to accommodate client demands.

• Ability to travel between 25% to 50% is necessary.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients.

• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 pounds of equipment.

• Attention to detail in inventory and logistics is crucial.

• Axis Certified Professional Certification is a plus.

• Genetec Security Center Omnicast and Synergis Certificates are advantageous.

• Milestone Certified Integration Technician Certificate is beneficial.

• Experience with Meraki MV is a plus.

• Experience with Verkada is an added advantage.

• Background in Video Surveillance System Implementation is favorable.

• Experience in Access Control System Implementation is preferred.

• Familiarity with Environmental Sensor Implementation is advantageous.

• Experience in IoT Device Implementation is a plus.
