This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Lead actuarial and interdisciplinary consulting initiatives for insurance firms, self-insured entities, program managers, and Insurtech companies.
• Prepare and oversee rate level indications, class plan assessments, competitive analysis, benchmarking studies, rate/rule filing support, reserve evaluations, self-insured retention assessments, funding studies, and product development.
• Conduct peer reviews of analyses performed by fellow consultants.
• Organize and present competitive data in an impactful format.
• Create innovative supporting visuals and explanatory content for rate/rule filings.
• Draft rate/rule interrogatory replies.
• Provide recommendations and/or alternatives to clients.
• Communicate directly with clients regarding project objectives and outcomes.
• Develop project proposals.
• Produce polished, professional, and clear reports.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in actuarial methodologies.
• Invoice clients.
• Over 6 years of experience as an actuary in the Property/Casualty sector.
• Preferred experience in commercial lines and/or Workers' Compensation/Medical Malpractice.
• Possession of ACAS or FCAS credentials.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other necessary software.
• Ability to think creatively and innovatively.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities/projects under deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and supervise the work of actuarial consultants.
• Proficiency in completing tasks with minimal conceptual, structural, technical, or cosmetic errors.
