Consultant principal en conception pédagogique, Senior Instructional Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Conduct assessments to determine needs and convert leadership competencies and soft skills into specific, measurable learning outcomes.

• Create scaffolded, microlearning-oriented educational solutions utilizing modular, sequenced units.

• Generate eLearning content that is compatible with TalentLMS in SCORM 1.2 or xAPI formats.

• Produce videos and other short-format digital assets.

• Design training decks for both live and virtual sessions, along with facilitator session materials.

• Facilitate live training sessions when comfortable and available.

• Implement instructional design best practices throughout the processes of analysis, design, development, and evaluation.

• Create formative and summative assessments and evaluation strategies that emphasize behavior application.

• Ensure that content is accessible, inclusive, and adheres to adult learning principles.

• Comply with established brand and style guidelines across decks, videos, and eLearning content.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject-matter experts to validate the content.

• Engage in HR leadership team review and approval processes.

• Manage workback schedules and deliverables while conducting regular check-ins.

• Deliver tested, functional microlearning modules that are SCORM 1.2 or xAPI-compliant in TalentLMS.

• Create a library of leadership microlearning videos.

• Produce facilitator-ready live training decks and detailed session plans.

• Develop accompanying assessment and evaluation materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in instructional design, with a robust portfolio in leadership development and/or soft skills training.

• Proven experience in designing microlearning and employing scaffolding techniques to facilitate skill progression.

• Practical experience in creating SCORM 1.2 or xAPI-compliant packages and working within an LMS environment.

• Capability to export and render content in SCORM 1.2 or xAPI format, irrespective of the authoring tool utilized.

• Strong foundation in adult learning theory and instructional design models, including ADDIE, SAM, and Bloom's taxonomy.

• Ability to design polished materials for live training and facilitators.

• Exceptional written communication and content development abilities.

• Comfortable working within an established brand and style guide.

• Strong project management skills and the capability to work independently in a part-time, remote consulting role.

• Proficiency in English is mandatory.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Canadian French is a significant asset.

• ATD or equivalent instructional design certification, or a degree in instructional design, learning design, or a related field, is advantageous.

• Experience with competency mapping and competency-based content architecture is beneficial.

• Familiarity with accessibility and UDL standards in eLearning is a plus.

• Previous consulting experience with corporate clients in leadership or people-manager programs is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in additional languages, such as Greek, is a valuable asset.
