Consult-Liaison Psychiatrist – Telehealth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and consultations for emergency department and inpatient teams.

• Provide remote consultative psychiatric care across various hospital systems.

• Support services in inpatient, emergency department, and emergency room environments.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to enhance access to behavioral healthcare.

• Supervise Nurse Practitioners.

• Treat patients of all age groups, with a preference for those aged 5 and older in emergency department settings.

• Available for day, mid-day, or nocturnist shifts.

• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

• Utilize advanced tools, including AI-supported systems, to enhance workflows and optimize patient care.

⛳️ Requirements

• Board Certification is mandatory.

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency is required.

• A minimum of 2 years of consult-liaison experience post-residency is necessary.

• Experience in acute-care psychiatric environments, such as inpatient, ED, crisis stabilization, consultation-liaison, acute detoxification, and/or other high-acuity behavioral health settings is essential.

• Experience treating patients aged 5 and older is preferred.

• Willingness to supervise Nurse Practitioners is required.

• Telehealth experience is mandatory.

• Proficiency in Epic is strongly preferred.

• Must be comfortable working across multiple health systems and varying levels of acuity.

• Candidates must reside within the United States or a U.S. territory.

• An active medical license in the U.S. is required.

• Must commit to working 13 to 16 shifts per month, including 3 to 4 weekend shifts.
