Construction Site Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Provide support for projects from inception to completion.

• Oversee resources, schedules, financial aspects, quality, and safety throughout the entire project lifecycle.

• Address issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure timely and successful delivery.

• Manage daily field operations and confirm that deliverables align with time, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.

• Develop and enforce safety protocols in accordance with industry and company regulations.

• Assist in the creation of Scopes of Work, Delineation of Responsibilities, and proposals for project execution.

• Lead the scheduling, budgeting, and documentation management from start to finish.

• Inspire and guide subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to achieve project objectives and milestones.

• Monitor and report on project results and metrics.

• Procure subcontractors and suppliers within established timelines and budgets.

• Organize project team meetings and manage daily project activities and resources.

• Utilize BuilderTrend to communicate project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to regional management.

• Apply functional and financial judgment to ensure alignment of solutions with client objectives, industry best practices, and company risk parameters.

• Ensure adherence to contract requirements and manage any changes effectively.

• Address project issues and risks to minimize the impact on the baseline budget.

• Ensure that job site activities comply with OSHA and company safety standards.

• Travel regionally to various job sites.

• Perform additional duties as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidate must reside in the Western Pennsylvania, Indiana, or Ohio region.

• Willingness to travel 75% of the time is required.

• 3-5 years of experience in the construction field is necessary.

• Strong leadership, written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal skills are essential.

• Self-motivated and decisive, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and competing priorities.

• Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.

• Effective team-building skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Experience in both independent work and team-oriented collaborative environments.

• Excellent prioritization and time management capabilities.

• Proven commitment to and understanding of safety field concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Highly organized with outstanding customer service skills.

• Skilled in negotiations with customers and vendors/subcontractors.

• Capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

• Experience in overseeing the work of others to guarantee project completion and success.

• Ability to read and interpret construction plans effectively.

• Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC).

• OSHA 30 Certification is required.

• Knowledge of regulatory agencies and processes for state requirements.

• Ability to engage in sustained physical activity while maintaining manual dexterity.

• Capable of standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing as needed.

• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, use construction personnel hoists, and navigate uneven or unfinished work environments.

• Proficient in handling tools, equipment, and materials, and occasionally lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds.

• Possess close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Ability to hear alarms, bells, whistles, and verbal instructions in busy construction settings.

• Willingness to work indoors or outdoors, at elevated heights, and in variable weather, noise, odor, dust, or fume conditions.

• Availability to work extended hours, weekends, or provide emergency on-call support as required by operational needs.

• Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States.

• Must successfully pass pre-employment drug testing, including marijuana.
