Construction Site Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Facilitate projects from inception to completion.

• Oversee resources, timelines, budgets, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.

• Address project challenges, risks, and change requests to guarantee timely and successful delivery.

• Manage daily field operations and confirm that all deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, costs, and customer satisfaction.

• Set and uphold safety standards in line with industry and organizational guidelines.

• Assist in defining scopes of work, clarifying responsibilities, and preparing proposals for project execution.

• Direct scheduling, budgeting, and documentation management from project start to finish.

• Inspire and lead subcontractors, suppliers, and manufacturers to achieve project objectives and milestones.

• Monitor and report project outcomes and key performance indicators.

• Source subcontractors and suppliers within established timelines and budgetary constraints.

• Coordinate daily project tasks, resources, and team meetings.

• Utilize BuilderTrend to communicate project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues to regional management.

• Employ functional and financial insights to align solutions with client objectives, industry best practices, and company risk parameters.

• Ensure adherence to contract stipulations and manage alterations effectively.

• Alleviate the effects of project challenges and risks on baseline budgets.

• Guarantee that job-site operations comply with OSHA and company safety protocols.

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Candidates must reside in the Western Pennsylvania, Indiana, or Ohio region.

• 3-5 years of experience in construction-related roles.

• Exceptional leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal abilities.

• Self-driven and decisive, capable of adapting to change and managing competing priorities.

• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.

• Strong team-building skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Proven ability to work independently and thrive in team-based, collaborative settings.

• Excellent skills in prioritization and time management.

• Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of safety principles, practices, and procedures.

• Highly organized with outstanding customer service capabilities.

• Proficient in negotiation with customers and vendors/subcontractors.

• Capability to manage multiple complex projects.

• Experience in supervising the work of others.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Willingness to travel regionally; travel is required 75% of the time.

• Capacity to perform sustained physical activity and maintain manual dexterity.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and maintain balance as needed.

• Possess the ability to climb stairs and ladders, use construction personnel hoists, and maneuver through uneven or unfinished work sites.

• Ability to handle tools, equipment, and materials and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Possess close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

• Capability to hear alarms, bells, whistles, and verbal directions in active construction settings.

• Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, at elevated heights, and under varying weather, noise, odor, dust, or fume conditions.

• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, or provide emergency on-call support as operational needs require.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screening, including for marijuana.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management is preferred.

• Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC).

• OSHA 30 Certification required.

• Knowledge of approval agencies and processes related to state requirements.

• Experience in the modular building industry is a plus.
