Construction Services Supervisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Supervise and direct vendor-based distribution-related electric and civil construction teams and support personnel.

• Administer contractor operations in alignment with relevant contracts and agreements.

• Investigate and address customer complaints effectively.

• Ensure that vendor field supervision upholds Ameren's policies, practices, and safety regulations.

• Contribute to project planning and design processes.

• Oversee and assess contractor teams involved in electric system construction, maintenance, and inspection activities.

• Establish contractor performance standards for safety and quality through regular observations and audits.

• Maintain communication with contractor supervisors to evaluate manpower, equipment, tools, and material requirements.

• Schedule, allocate, and manage work in a safe, efficient, and effective manner.

• Monitor and manage project budgets and timelines.

• Provide documentation for budgetary cost tracking and construction schedules.

• Record changes in project scope and offer updates on project status.

• Coordinate activities with customers, contractors, external stakeholders, and various company departments.

• Enforce WPA and safety regulations and conduct safety observations.

• Implement corporate policies with contractor teams.

• Support departmental and functional objectives.

• Identify and execute operational enhancements to manage costs and boost productivity and quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

• A minimum of five years of relevant experience in electric transmission or electric distribution is required.

• Alternatively, five years of relevant experience in a heavy industrial or military setting, including at least three years in a supervisory position, is required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is necessary.

• General computer literacy is expected.

• Competence with mobile devices is required.

• Familiarity with project construction schedules is necessary.

• Must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility.

• Overnight travel may be necessary multiple days each week.

• Availability for call-out and overtime is required for emergency storm restoration and project work.

• A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a construction management-related field is preferred.

• Experience as a journeyman line or journeyman substation is preferred.

• Utility experience is preferred.

• Prior supervisory or leadership experience with teams or contractors is preferred.

• Experience with Renewable Development projects is preferred.

• Strong leadership, management, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are preferred.

• Skills in Project and/or Construction Management are preferred.

• Basic knowledge of APImaging, CCTM, TRIS, OAS, DOJM, and ArcGIS systems is preferred.
