This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee projects from initiation to conclusion, managing resources, timelines, finances, quality, and safety throughout the project lifecycle.
• Utilize BuilderTrend to monitor project advancement, manage documentation, and enhance communication among teams and stakeholders.
• Address issues, risks, and project change requests to guarantee successful and timely project outcomes.
• Manage daily project operations and ensure that necessary deliverables adhere to quality, schedule, and budget constraints.
• Establish and uphold safety protocols in accordance with industry and company standards.
• Supervise and lead a team of direct reports.
• Facilitate or contribute to Scopes of Work, Delineation of Responsibilities, and proposals for larger initiatives.
• Direct project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation management from initiation to completion.
• Inspire and develop project teams to achieve objectives, responsibilities, and milestones.
• Monitor and report project outcomes and key performance indicators.
• Recruit, manage, and guide project support roles, including project managers, superintendents, and administrative staff.
• Source subcontractors and suppliers to meet project goals within designated timelines and budgets.
• Understand daily project operations and lead project team meetings.
• Provide regional leadership with status updates on milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and challenges.
• Apply functional and financial insights to align solutions with client objectives, industry best practices, and company risk parameters.
• Ensure adherence to contract specifications and manage modifications effectively.
• Alleviate the effects of project challenges and risks on baseline budgets.
• Conduct safety briefings at the start of each project phase or shift.
• Ensure job site activities conform to OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Travel regionally to job sites, approximately 50% of the time.
• Execute other duties as assigned.
• 5-8 years of experience in the construction field.
• Exceptional leadership, communication (written, verbal, and presentation), and interpersonal abilities.
• Self-driven and decisive, with the capacity to adapt to changes and competing priorities.
• Proficient with MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and project management software.
• Team-building capabilities with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Experience working autonomously and in collaborative, team-focused environments.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
• Proven commitment to and understanding of safety practices and procedures in the field.
• Highly organized with outstanding customer service abilities.
• Skilled negotiator with clients and vendors/subcontractors.
• Capability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Experience supervising the work of others.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.
• Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screening, including marijuana, for this safety-sensitive role.
• Must be able to perform sustained physical activities and maintain manual dexterity.
• Must be capable of standing and walking for extended periods and bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, and balancing.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, operate construction personnel hoists, and traverse uneven or unfinished work sites.
• Ability to manage tools, equipment, and materials and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Possess close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Ability to hear alarms, bells, whistles, and verbal instructions in active construction settings.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors, at elevated heights, and in varying weather, noise, odor, dust, or fume conditions.
• Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or provide emergency on-call support based on operational requirements.
• Nice to have: Experience in the modular building industry.
• Nice to have: Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of the Division of State Architect (DSA).
• Nice to have: Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC).
• Nice to have: OSHA 30 Certification.
• Nice to have: Knowledge of approval agencies and processes for State Requirements.
• Nice to have: Experience with Bluebeam and CAD software for reviewing and interpreting construction drawings and plans.
