This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead initiatives that include various restaurant tenant-improvement and new construction projects for multi-site retail and dining clients.
• Serve as an extension of the owner's design and construction teams.
• Supervise general contractors, designers, and vendors across numerous locations.
• Manage comprehensive program delivery, encompassing bidding, permitting, scheduling, construction oversight, change orders, invoicing, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Oversee construction activities on-site.
• Direct and coordinate project team efforts to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate project-related issues to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
• Review drawings, schedules, scopes, bid results, specifications, test reports, progress reports, and other construction documentation.
• Confirm and validate permitting requirements.
• Manage and monitor project work in the field.
• Handle project change orders.
• Adhere to project reporting and documentation standards.
• Prepare and deliver weekly project status updates.
• Identify and address or escalate cost, schedule, safety, and quality concerns.
• Represent the company during project meetings.
• Foster relationships with clients, potential clients, subcontractors, and vendors to help create new opportunities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of a 4-year degree in an accredited construction-related field or equivalent experience.
• Alternatively, 7–10+ years of relevant experience in quick-service restaurant (QSR) or kitchen retail construction project management.
• Ground-up construction experience is highly preferred and essential.
• Strong grasp of multi-site program management.
• Proficient in construction processes, including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and project closeout.
• Willingness to travel 50–80% as needed, including weekly site visits.
• Ability to work multi-shift schedules when necessary in active retail environments.
• Suitable candidates must reside in the Northern California Bay Area / Sacramento region and surrounding states.
