This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Act as the owner's representative, overseeing programs that involve various restaurant tenant-improvement and new construction projects.
• Function as an extension of the owner's design and construction team.
• Supervise general contractors, designers, and vendors across numerous locations.
• Manage comprehensive program delivery, which includes bidding, permitting, scheduling, construction oversight, change orders, invoicing, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Oversee on-site construction activities.
• Direct and coordinate project team operations to ensure that projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate any project-related issues to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
• Review drawings, schedules, scopes, bid results, specifications, test reports, progress reports, and other related documentation.
• Confirm and validate project permitting requirements.
• Manage and oversee project work in the field.
• Handle project change orders efficiently.
• Prepare and present weekly project status updates.
• Identify, address, or escalate issues related to cost, schedule, safety, or quality.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Foster relationships with clients, prospective clients, subcontractors, and vendors to create new opportunities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Alternatively, possess 7–10+ years of relevant experience in QSR/KITCHEN retail construction project management.
• Ground-up construction experience is strongly preferred and essential.
• Solid understanding of multi-site program management.
• Proficiency in construction processes, including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and closeout.
• Capability to manage construction activities on-site effectively.
• Ability to oversee general contractors, designers, and vendors.
• Willingness to travel 50–80% as required, including weekly site visits.
• Flexibility to work multiple shifts in active retail environments when necessary.
• Competence in managing projects to adhere to schedule and budget constraints.
• Skill in reviewing construction documents, bids, specifications, reports, and project information.
• Proficiency in managing change orders, project reporting, and documentation.
• Effectiveness in communicating project issues and representing the company in meetings.
• Ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors.
