This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Lead programs that encompass multiple restaurant tenant-improvement and ground-up/new-build projects as an owner's representative.
• Serve as an extension of the owner's design and construction team.
• Oversee general contractors, designers, and vendors across various locations.
• Manage the complete program delivery, which includes bidding, permitting, scheduling, construction oversight, change orders, invoicing, punch lists, and project closeout.
• Supervise construction activities on site.
• Direct and coordinate the activities of the project team to ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate project-related issues to the Senior Project Manager, Project Executive, or Operations Director.
• Review drawings, schedules, scopes, bid outcomes, specifications, test reports, progress reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Verify and confirm project permitting requirements.
• Manage and monitor project work in the field.
• Oversee project change orders.
• Prepare and deliver weekly project status reports.
• Identify, resolve, or escalate cost, schedule, safety, and quality issues.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Cultivate relationships with clients, prospective clients, subcontractors, and vendors to foster new opportunities.
• Perform other assigned tasks.
• Minimum of a 4-year degree in a construction-related program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• Alternatively, 7-10+ years of relevant experience in QSR/kitchen retail construction project management.
• Ground-up construction experience is highly preferred and deemed critical.
• Strong understanding of multi-site program management.
• Expertise in construction processes, including pre-construction, permitting, scheduling, and project closeout.
• Qualified candidates must reside in the Northern California Bay Area/Sacramento market or neighboring states.
• Willingness and ability to travel 50-80% as necessary, including weekly site visits.
• Ability to work multiple shifts as required in active retail environments.
• Capability to manage general contractors, designers, vendors, and project teams effectively.
• Competence in managing projects within established schedules and budgets.
• Proficiency in reviewing construction drawings, schedules, scopes, specifications, bids, and reports.
• Skill in managing change orders, project reporting, documentation, and issue escalation.
