This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Engage in a 12-week summer internship program aimed at enhancing your technical, business, leadership, and communication abilities.
• Acquire insights into a career in Construction Project Management with a focus on energy-efficient building solutions.
• Collaborate on various aspects of construction projects alongside a Project Manager.
• Assist in project execution and achieve goals within specified timelines and available resources.
• Plan and coordinate assigned projects, develop schedules and project parameters, and establish procedures.
• Create tasks, estimates, dependencies, milestones, perform CPM Analysis, and conduct Histogram Analysis.
• Partner with engineering teams on programming and material selection initiatives.
• Set up and maintain operational budgets by adjusting estimates based on validated scopes and tracking projected completion costs.
• Prepare requests for quotations from subcontractors, detailing scopes, plans, milestone dates, specifications, bonding requirements, and billing schedules.
• Receive and evaluate subcontractor proposals.
• Assist in supervising assigned project staff, subcontractors, and installers.
• Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, owners, and team members regarding project scope, budgets, performance, close-out processes, issues, and information requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues across North America.
• Potential opportunity to advance to the Graduate Training Program post-graduation.
• Must be actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program throughout the summer internship.
• Preferred fields of study include Construction Engineering, Building Management, Construction Management, HVAC, Engineering, or equivalent disciplines.
• Must have completed at least the sophomore year or 2nd year prior to the start of the summer internship.
• Demonstrated understanding of construction management processes, techniques, and methodologies.
• Relevant coursework or projects in construction or building systems, participation in construction-focused organizations, or related work or volunteer experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or possess the legal right to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
• A valid driver's license must have been held for at least 12 months.
• Ability to provide proof of insurance is required.
• Must have no major or frequent traffic violations, including specified violations within the last 3 years.
• This role is designated as Safety Sensitive.
