Construction Project Executive – Life Science Market

πŸ“‹ Description

β€’ Oversee a significant project valued at over $200MM, or manage a highly intricate individual project or several construction initiatives.

β€’ Direct the planning, design, and implementation phases of the project.

β€’ Assemble and lead teams for proposal development.

β€’ Organize and facilitate meetings with clients and teams; distribute minutes and action logs.

β€’ Conduct initial project meetings and monitor action items.

β€’ Ensure timely completion of review submissions, status reports, closeout documents, and maintenance manuals.

β€’ Regularly visit project locations.

β€’ Create project-specific proposals and execution strategies.

β€’ Track project progress, budgets, expenses, purchasing, change orders, and red file documentation.

β€’ Report any financial concerns and corrective measures to the Responsible Director, Regional Manager, or Vice President.

β€’ Supervise the development and upkeep of master schedules.

β€’ Collaborate with Field Operations, A/E Services, and MEP Services regarding schedule progress and corrective actions.

β€’ Document and communicate any project delays and justifications for schedule extensions.

β€’ Develop and manage project risk management plans and mitigation strategies.

β€’ Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, safety standards, quality benchmarks, scheduling, training, and profitability targets.

β€’ Act as the primary contact and account manager for clients.

β€’ Establish relationship management and project communication strategies.

β€’ Mentor and train project managers and other team members.

β€’ Advocate for Gray's vision, core values, mission, safety protocols, and quality initiatives.

β€’ Collaborate with engineering, design, and construction site teams.

β€’ Maintain regular communication with Project Executives and senior leadership within the company.

β€’ Supervise multiple team members and external resources.


⛳️ Requirements

β€’ A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or a minimum of ten years of relevant experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

β€’ At least seven consecutive years of total profit and loss responsibility across multiple projects.

β€’ Minimum of five years managing all aspects of design/build or hard bid projects.

β€’ Familiarity with lump sum, GMP, cost-plus construction management, and fee-based contracting methods.

β€’ Understanding of the legal ramifications and implications of contractual language.

β€’ Established track record of enhancing project profitability from initial margins across multiple projects.

β€’ Knowledge of engineering and design disciplines, including associated costs and fees.

β€’ Understanding of the cost, schedule, construction management, and operational impacts stemming from project changes.

β€’ Experience managing at least one project that involved the procurement or installation of process or production equipment, or similar components, with equipment-related work exceeding $2 million per project.

β€’ Familiarity with equipment component and system costs and installation practices for estimates and proposals.

β€’ Ability to mentor and train project staff effectively.

β€’ Proven experience in developing aggressive project timelines.

β€’ Demonstrated experience in preparing cost estimates for industrial design/build projects.

β€’ Capacity to maintain relationships with owners, colleagues, vendors, suppliers, and community stakeholders.

β€’ Proficient in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business, professional, technical, and regulatory documents.

β€’ Capable of writing reports and business correspondence, and presenting information effectively.

β€’ Ability to comprehend complex financial data.

β€’ Basic mathematical skills relevant to business applications.

β€’ Aptitude for solving practical problems and interpreting diverse instructions.

β€’ Basic computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and email proficiency.

β€’ Familiarity with scheduling and/or estimating software may be necessary.
